golf wasn't new to being manhandled and he has adapted well to the situation that he was pushed into.

between roughhousing with other canines at kyle's abode, being employed for various missions, as well as simply being an accessory to be bait for social interactions so they focus more on him instead of his trainer, golf has learned that it's the survival of the fittest for this kind of job.

as young children come in from the door, golf backs away. he feels boxed within the four corners of the room, but at least there were bigger, larger dogs that surround him. he slinks into the corner of the room, letting the canines with the weirder appearances take the spotlight.

his hind legs eventually touch the corner of the decorated room. his eyes spot children home in at him. the poochyena swallows, knowing his inevitable fate, as he stands still, unable to do anything.

"aw, he's a little baby!"

"can i pet him? i can pet him, right?"

"i'm spiral and i want to eat him."

golf succumbs to the children's petting. soft hands start to rub him from the top of his head down to his spine. the rhythmic motions that ran across his back eventually calm him down. he closes his eyes and rests his chin on one of the squatting children's knees, relishing on the petting.

[attr="class","illie i"]somehow, she expected more of a giant cuddle puddle than this. the fifth child today has just finished running sticky fingers through blue fur and the next one is quick to approach. all around them are dogs of various sizes. it's funny, she had been terrified of the bigger ones at first. they're too large compared to her smol and yet, they're all lulled into a sense of comfort and affection by these children. even the largest ones rumble out noises of excitement, tails wagging against tiles.

she is no different. of course, sticky fingers are weird to get used to but worth it.

at some point, she's pulled into one's lap and peppered with kisses. it almost reminds her of her trainer. although perhaps a smaller version. still very much the same sense of affection. she snuggles closer, floofy tail starting out with a slow wag and gaining velocity the longer she's held. eventually, a few more children wander over with their own canine companions.

and now, this is exactly how she imagined it. one big cuddle puddle in the center of the room, lulled into a content sleep by hands stroking fur. the goodest pets for the goodest puppers and each one in the group is no exception.

This was Azur’s chance to prove to Maverick and himself. Although this wasn’t the first thing that come to mind, it was a task either way. Warm ruby colored digits stared down at the frightened little boy before him, tears in his eyes as he made little crying noises. His gaze shifted unfortunately to his other canines in the group, seeing them act as though they enjoyed being played with by children. Was this a test of his patience and gentleness? Why did his trainer send him here to play with baby humans? Head titled to one side, trying to figure out what to do.

After a moment, the houndoom laid down on the floor in hopes that maybe his tall stature would seem less scary if he were at their level. At the moment, the little boy squealed with delight and ran to him. Little arms clamped around his neck in a tight hug. Azur grunted, being mindful of his smaller than average male horns. The boy giggled, releasing his death grip hug around his neck and started to pet his short ebony fur. “Oh Mommy!” The kid yelled in his non existing ears, “He’s so warm to the touch and so soft.” Azur laid still as the kid petted his face before seeing another puppy and running to it.

But it wasn’t long before another kid started to pet Azur’s side, his attention turned to a young female human who delicately touched his bones on his back. Another touch was felt on his left paw, the tiny human giggled with delight. “He has big feets daddy.” Something had his tail, turning to see a kid playing with his tail. Slightly annoyed, the canine lifted his tail only to send that kid into a giggle fit too. Arms raised above her head to try and catch his long arrow tipped tail. How long does he have to be here?

while some of his peers are happy to be simply petted, basking in attention, this particular lycanroc was not one for such frivolities. a university is a learning institution! he may be just a dog but that doesn't mean he doesn't value academic rigour.

pacing around for a while on weirdly lanky legs, fur bristled and stiff, the lycanroc regards some of his younger, smaller canine peers with pity. he could remember being a pup in a litter and never being taken seriously by no human trainer, let alone his lycanroc parents.

to demonstrate how determined he was to be helpful now, the lycanroc would trot around the pen with a mop clenched in its jaws because puppies are messy. he couldn't use the mop because he is a dog, but he will delegate the task to a human if he sees anything that needs to be cleaned up.

as the doors opened and the room flooded with other humans of various ages and sizes the zygarde stood firmly still in the corner it had decided to inhabit as its territory. ziggy, as it had been nicknamed by its vessel, had decided to mingle with humans other than the rather foolish and suicidal kazimir wynter who was arceus knows where and doing who knows what. despite the various eyes around the world this human managed to really toe outside the edge of the radar that its cells managed to create. no matter. it was here and interested now.

however the loud cries of children were a bit much. so much that it managed to make every cell inside of its body scream out a plan of retaliation because of it.

the dog's deadpan stare was broken when a young girl walked over to it and held out a hand. it looked tasty. however the hand was quick to find itself resting on the dog's head and gave it a gentle rub. the girl herself let out a little laugh and called it a good boy. something about these words were very soothing and soon the zygarde was amazed at feeling its own tail start to wag as it nuzzled into the hand. it had never felt warmth like this. was this how humans always felt like?

[attr="class","spiral"]Fernando's only trained his Type Null to obey his orders with the spare battle routine or two. Everything else is considered irrelevant until the Pokemon can stand on it's own. It's not worth Fernando's time to sink his effort into expanding the horizon of a Pokemon that hasn't even proved capable yet. The only reason he keeps it around is because of exclusivity of the Pokemon's species. He's never seen anything like it before.

So when a Pokejob opens up, that presents the perfect chance for Fernando to pawn off his Pokemon for labor while allowing it to socialize with others. Considering the presence of kyle lopez and persephone amavi's Pokemon, he has no doubt that they'll be able to reign the Type: Null in.

However, that's unneeded. The Pokemon is hardly aggressive and mostly inactive, unable to cope with the shift in environment. Even with the myriads of children, it remains motionless. Many of the children decide to gawk and pet it, playing with its strange appendages, and wonder about the nature of the Pokemon's helmet. Naturally, they manhandle the Type: Null, physically prodding it until it gives a satisfactory reaction.

"Gggrrrrr."

Enough is enough! Eventually, someone crosses the line and breaks the hump on the camel's back. One of the kids backs up in anticipation of violence but the Type: Null finds GROWLING sufficient. And then it happens all at once.

Fernando's Type: Null plants the sickest, fattest, stinkiest turd the world has even known.

The smell drives everyone away, itself included. In hindsight, some of the children are able to piece together the Pokemon's lack of personality. It wasn't cold or indifferent.

It was constipated.

Stormy's Arcanine had spent the better part of the day running around like he had ants in his pants. Now, however, after thoroughly exhausting the kids and the group of Growlithe that had flocked to him, he was snoring loudly in the middle of the playground.[break][break]

Several children had curled up in his warm fur to have a quick nap. One was draped across his neck, still sleepily stroking his soft golden fur. Every once in awhile he would swish his tail to try and keep them interested, but it wasn't necessary.[break][break]

More than likely they'd all overindulged in some afternoon snacks and had worn themselves into a food-coma. It was perfect.

Unlike most of the canines present, the Manectric was curled up in a corner, constantly releasing little puffs and bursts of electricity.[break][break]

Who would even try to approach her, she was literally spewing out electricity through her fur and that was more than enough to shock the humans that were running around and screaming and wanting relentless pats.[break][break]

However, there were a few brave souls who approached the Manectric—one of them being a scared-looking boy who wanted nothing more to do with the place. The Manectric raised her head and observed the young one for a few moments, before deigning to approach and slowly gave the child’s fingers a reassuring lick.[break][break]

She was already expecting the human to curl away and scream in pain because of the constant cloud of electric-charged air she was releasing, but… there was no effect.[break][break]

Was this too much to hope for?[break][break]

She then continued her cautious approach and began giving the child affectionate, reassuring licks.[break][break]

Everything was going to be alright.
